Founded in 2009, South East Dog Rescue is a true ‘no-kill’ rescue and rehoming centre based in Dartford, Kent. They rescue and re-home dogs across the UK, primarily helping ‘death row’ dogs in council pounds who would be euthanised without our assistance. They also help members of the general public to re-home their dogs when their circumstances change. Over the years, SEDR have gained a reputation for helping some of the most abused, starved and neglected welfare cases in the UK. They are regularly called upon to help such vulnerable dogs.
Their Mission
To give a second chance to abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs and to find them loving, furever homes. Some of the dogs that come to SEDR cannot cope in a ‘traditional’ home environment and are given sanctuary at the centre for the remainder of their lives.
What They do
Run entirely by volunteers, SEDR ensures that dogs are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being placed into furever homes. All dogs have rescue back up from SEDR for the remainder of their lives.
SEDR is a non-profit organisation and relies solely on donations and receives no government funding.
